Week 9 - money machine go brrrr

Sound

This week I focused on the implementation of interactive music through vertical re-orchestration. Whenever a sabotage begins, extra musical elements will play that are different depending on which character activates it. The telephone menu also has some fitting sounds attached to it.

Dev

This week was a total blast—we finally got the money printing mechanics dialed in! the game's core feature is now live, and we're literally printing money. Plus, the conveyor belts are up and running, making the whole experience feel incredibly real and dynamic.

And here’s a cool twist: we added a sabotage element in the call center scene. Now, you can mess with your opponent by knocking out the lights, forcing them to fix the fuse to see again. It’s sneaky, it's strategic, and it totally ramps up the intensity of the game.

We've also been fine-tuning the machinery and the production lines, ensuring that players can actually see their earnings rolling off the press. It’s looking great and adding a whole new layer of excitement. Additionally, you can buy new lines now in your factory. What does that mean? More money!

Art

This week we made the filler props in the background to add to the vibe of the factory. We added shelves, boxes and containers. We also updated the UI and added on screen elements to help navigate in the game. We added the HUD which includes the timer, the truck timer, the amount of money you have, the money quota, etc.

We also added a sabotage menu to indicate the sabotages you can use to sabotage the other player.
