Week 6 - features features features


Prototyping is in full development. 

Every single feature that will be worked on in the development stage is currently being tested and integrated into a single prototype. All hands are on deck to make this game happen.


Devs: 

We have now completed a full prototype. You can find your factory making money, hire/fire workers at your machines and sabotage the other player. 

Making money is easy! Just make sure to order a truck drop for incoming supplies to keep your machines going and able to print that money. When your materials run out, so will your factory stop printing money. Also don't forget to keep checking on it, as you only have a short time window to order the supplies at the front.

If you've mastered getting your supplies, you can hire workers at each machine to increase the speed- and as such money- at your machine lines. 

The goal is simple: get to your daily quota. The first player to not make the daily goal will lose and the other player will win! Luckily you have a timer that will keep track of when time is up for that day.

Art:

We made some new designs for the machines and belts in the factory.  The belts are made in a couple modular pieces so we can easily and effectively use it when making the final layout of the factory. The machines were redesigned to have more variety and give a more playful look to the game.

We experimented on how we're gonna animate the assets, since we weren't able to use Mixamo for our characters with floating limbs :/ Therefore we manually rigged animated with Maya and Blender and figured that using Blender is the simpler and faster way for what we need. 

Also rigging in Maya is way too confusing for my brain to handle. 😵‍💫

Next Steps:
